Different types of blades are pressed from raw steel material in presses of 20 to 250 tons.
Hardening
Heat treatments are applied at approximately 1050°C and as a result, optimal blade durability and optimal blade flexibility unique to Victorinox are created. The purpose of the hardening process is to make the steel harder and less corrosive for longer-term use.
